How to Read Deleted WhatsApp Messages with Golden WhatsApp Anti-Revoke

You have seen it happen: someone sends you a message, you get the notification, and by the time you open the chat it says “This message was deleted.” Golden WhatsApp’s Anti-Revoke feature prevents this from happening. Once enabled, deleted messages stay visible to you — even after the sender uses Delete for Everyone.

What is Anti-Revoke?

Anti-Revoke is a GoldenWA feature that intercepts WhatsApp’s message deletion command. When a sender deletes a message for everyone, WhatsApp sends an instruction to all recipients’ phones to hide the message. GoldenWA’s Anti-Revoke ignores this instruction — the message stays in your chat, clearly marked as deleted but fully readable.

What Types of Content Does Anti-Revoke Save?

How to Enable Anti-Revoke in GoldenWA

  1. Open Golden WhatsApp
  2. Tap the three-dot menu and go to GoldenWA Settings
  3. Select Privacy & Security
  4. Find Anti-Revoke Messages and toggle it ON
  5. Anti-Revoke is now active for all chats and groups

Once enabled, it works automatically. You do not need to do anything else. Any message a contact tries to delete will remain visible in your chat.

How Does a Deleted Message Appear?

When Anti-Revoke saves a deleted message, the original content stays exactly where it was in the chat. A small label appears next to it indicating the message was deleted — for example: “This message was deleted” appears as a note, but the actual content above it remains fully visible.

This way, you can see both the original message and the fact that the sender tried to delete it.

Does Anti-Revoke Work in Groups?

Yes. Anti-Revoke works in both private chats and group chats. If a group admin or member deletes a message, it will remain visible to you in the group conversation.

Can the Sender Tell You Read Their Deleted Message?

No. Anti-Revoke works entirely on your device. The sender has no way to know whether their deletion was successful on your end or not. From their perspective, the message appears as deleted. GoldenWA does not send any notification to the sender about Anti-Revoke activity.

Anti-Revoke vs Notification History

Some Android phones have a “Notification History” feature that can show message previews from before deletion. Anti-Revoke is far more reliable — it saves the full message content regardless of whether it appeared in a notification, and works even for silent messages or messages you received while your phone was offline.

Is There Any Way to Disable Anti-Revoke for Specific Chats?

Currently, Anti-Revoke in GoldenWA applies globally. You cannot enable it for some chats and disable it for others. It is either on for all chats or off for all chats. Future versions of GoldenWA may introduce per-chat controls.
